Georgia Tech's Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics and Computing (CEISMC), hosted the 3rd Annual STEM Mini-Conference on Saturday, March 19, 2016, as part of the Atlanta Science Festival. The event was held on campus at the Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons. 11 concurrent sessions on a variety of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) related topics were led by CEISMC staff, Georgia Tech faculty and students, and Clayton State Math and Science Partnership (MSP) instructors. There were over 120 teachers in attendance. A majority of attendees were from Clayton and Gwinnett County Public Schools MSP projects. As an indicator of the program's success and popularity, a number of the teachers have attended the STEM Mini-Conference all three years.
CEISMC Program Director, Gustavia Evans, said, "We are looking forward to hosting next year's conference, as it continuously evolves, expands, and improves."
