DOUBLE-FEATURE FILM SCREENINGS ON MARCH 26!
The Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta will present The Ramen Samurai (2011) and The Ramen Girl (2008) at SCADShow Performing Arts Theater (173 14th St NE, Atlanta, GA) on Saturday, March 26, 1-6pm.
Admission to each film is free, but RSVP is required for each screening. Seating available on a first-come first-served basis.

The Ramen Girl (2008)
Showing: 1:00 pm – 2:45 pm, 3/26
Synopsis: Abandoned by her boyfriend after following him to Tokyo, Abby (Brittany Murphy), alone and desperate, discovers solace in an unlikely place: a ramen shop. After recognizing the joy food can bring to people, she decides to become a ramen chef and somehow convinces the extremely irritable ramen chef, who doesn’t speak a word of English, to teach her the art of ramen-making.
The Ramen Samurai (2011)

Synopsis: Hikaru (Dai Watanabe) quits his job at a design company to return to his home town of Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture after receiving news of his father’s death. To learn about his father and his reason for starting a ramen shop, Hikaru decides to pursue the art of ramen-making and reopen his father’s shop despite his lack of knowledge. Relying on his own childhood memories, he attempts to recreate his father’s beloved recipe.
