On March 2-3, 2016, the Ivan Allen College and the McEver Program in Engineering and the Liberal Arts hosted a colloquium on astrobiology at Georgia Tech. This colloquium marked the beginning of an evolving project to build trans-disciplinary work between the human and natural sciences. This event, organized by Ken Knoespel with assistance from Lisa Yaszek (LMC) and Marion Usselman (CEISMC), featured John Baross (head of the astrobiology program at the University of Washington) and Derek Malone-France (director of academic design for the NASA Astrobiology Debates Project). Participants included both students and faculty from across the Ivan Allen College and across Georgia Tech.
