There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. AMP-IT-UP Robotics and Engineering Program Director Jeff Rosen along with three engineering teachers from Griffin-Spalding County Schools will present "The New Power Tool: Student Generated Data" at the 2016 International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA) Conference in Washington, DC on Thursday, March 3. Today's student needs to be prepared to think differently than in the past. This session will present a newly designed and research for a sixth through ninth grade engineering curriculum that engages students in: experimental design, data driven decision making, and prototyping to solve a client driven problem. The goals of the presentation is to share how students can be the drivers of their learning experience, provide examples of the materials that showcase the way integrate STEM is done wiht this mater, share real teacher experiences with teh implementation of the program, and release the availability of the NSF funded AMP-IT-UP STEM-ID curriculum materials.
