       I.            Opening Plenary (9:00-10:15am)

Purpose: Highlight campus and community partners; highlight WCA guiding principles and values; provide overview of the activities for the day; describe the awards

    II.            Workshop Circuit (10:30am-12:30pm)

Purpose: Expose participants to three workshops focused on community building aimed towards achieving genuine equality i.e.: quality jobs, high-quality integrated education, and decent affordable housing.

Arts for Genuine Equality (30 minutes)

Participants choose one of three options on how to use the arts for community building to promote and address major issues for westside communities. The three areas will include: connecting communities with arts performances; capturing community narratives; and using arts activities for community education.

Data for Genuine Equality (30 minutes)

For this session, participants will use the WCA Data Dashboard to assess three projects to determine where it could have the most impact in the area of quality education and living-wage jobs.  The three projects will focus on youth education and development, a youth diversion site, and workforce development.

Development for Genuine Equality (30 minutes)

This session would offer participants the opportunity to learn more about three areas of community development that are relevant for Georgia Tech and westside communities focused on jobs, housing, and sustainability.
