Open StudioAll of the ID studios will be open for an end-of-year display of design work by Industrial Design students. You can count on seeing innovative examples of furniture design, appliances and tools, wearable electronics, smart products, medical equipment, sustainable systems and universal/assistive products. The studios will be open April 25 through May 2.
On April 25, 7-9 pm, the ID Labs will also be open for demonstrations:
In the Interactive Product Design Lab (IPDL), facilities for experimenting with human-computer interface design will be presented.
The 3-D Body Lab will showcase various scanners used to map the curved contours of the human body to ergonomic products like helmets, eyewear and microsurgery tools.
In the Human Machine Interaction (HMI) Transportation Studio, the vehicular simulator will be demonstrated in its capacity to provide data for efficient placement of interactive technology within cars.
