Summaries

Summary Sentence: The Biomedical Engineering Society hosts an event benefitting the American Parkinson's and Disease Association

Full Summary: No summary paragraph submitted.

Please note this event has been cancelled.

This is the first 5K that the GT Biomedical Engineering Society is hosting to benefit the American Parkinson's Disease Association. All of our proceeds will go towards the APDA. The APDA works with over 1 million Parkinson's patients in the United States to find a cure for Parkinson's, support patients in their daily lives and educate the public about Parkinson's. The theme for this 5K is to "Be a Superhero" for Parkinson's. So it's a fun-run where our participants have the opportunity to dress like a superhero while running through the GT campus. Since April is Parkinson's awareness month we want to encourage everyone to participate so that we can one day find a cure for this neurological disease.
