There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Kaye Husbands Fealing, chair of Georgia Tech's Ivan Allen College School of Public Policy, organized the Symposium on the Science of Broadening Participation to discuss the building of a more diverse and agile STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) workforce, with particular attention paid to the underrepresentation of minorities, women, and persons with disabilities in relevant fields and the workforce. A national event sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the symposium took place February 25 - 26 in Arlington, Virginia.
