Tom Ventulett, one of School of Architecture’s most valued alumni, will be honored with the Visionary Award at Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Best in Atlanta Real Estate Awards on March 3.
“Tom Ventulett is an incredibly gifted architect. He has created landmark buildings all over the world. His work in and around World Congress Center and the Georgia Dome have made Atlanta a major destination for conventions and sports events. He is a tremendous asset for the Atlanta design and development communities. We are extremely proud to count him among our most distinguished Georgia Tech alumni,” stated Steven French, Dean of the Georgia Tech College of Architecture.
Ventulett is chairman emeritus of tvsdesign, the firm behind such Atlanta landmarks as CNN Center, the Georgia World Congress Center (phases I, II, III and IV), Atlantic Station, the Georgia Dome and the Omni Arena. The firm also designed Technology Square at Georgia Tech, AT&T Southern Regional Headquarters and AT&T Promenade, the IBM General Systems Division Headquarters, and the renovations of the Woodruff Arts Center and the Atlanta College of Art at Woodruff.
