There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The American Red Cross is seeking donors to replenish its blood supply. In particular, the Red Cross is seeking donors who are Type O negative and Type B negative.
The drive is being promoted as a "Battle of the Bands" — a competition between the marching bands at Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech. The winning school will receive recognition at the March 6 men's basketball game at Alexander Memorial Coliseum.
For more efficient processing, Red Cross representatives are strongly urging donors to schedule an appointment in advance. Walk-in will also be accommodated, but scheduled appointments will have priority.
