Samuel Owen, who died February 26, was an undergraduate physics major.

Georgia Tech is deeply saddened to report that one of our students, Samuel Owen, died Friday, February 26, 2016. A 20-year-old resident of Suwanee, Georgia, Sam was an undergraduate majoring in physics.

The loss of any member of our community is difficult, but our grief is even deeper with the loss of a student. At this time of tragedy, we extend heartfelt sympathies to Sam’s family and friends.

A sudden death like this can be difficult to cope with. If you know anyone who is having a challenging time coping with this news, please urge him or her to take advantage of help that is available through the Georgia Tech Counseling Center, Stamps Health Services, Division of Student Life, or the Georgia Crisis & Access Line (800-715-4225).
