*********************************
There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Here is some info about cool things happening around campus:
3/3-3/4: 3rd Annual Energy Expo hosted by Georgia Tech Energy Club with keynote addresses by Any Cherneff, co-founder Executive Director of Empower Generation, and Jeff Roberts, Program Leader for Sustainable Energy Systems and Deputy Program Director for Energy at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Please visit the website (http://www.energyexpo.gatech.edu/ ) for a full agenda and list of speakers and register for the event via Eventbrite.

Volunteer opportunity with GA Tech's CEISMC Program:        The program is part of GA Tech's CEISMC program, and is held in the Instructional Center on Saturdays from 9am-12pm (Although you would want to arrive earlier, ~8:30). There would be 3 sessions of a 1 hr class for approx 20 4th and 5th graders per session.

Saturday March 19th: Insect I.D. Class
Students will learn how to use a dichotomous key to identify various pinned insects, meet a live millipede, and some other activities if time permits. Help for this class would be mostly in guiding students in using the key.

Saturday March 26th: Plankton and Water Quality Class
Students will identify plankton in a water sample and use a water quality test kit. Help with this class could be leading a group of 10 students in either the plankton study or water quality testing, or just helping with the microscope activity while someone else leads. Thanks everyone, remember the next meeting is March 14!
