There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Title: Spatially Aware Mobile Radio Networks: Localization and Tomographic Imaging
Committee:
Dr. Ma, Advisor
Dr. Chang, Chair
Dr. Baxley
Abstract: The objective of the proposed research is to improve the spatial awareness of mobile radio networks using ultra-wideband (UWB) signaling and signal processing. Completed research has shown novel contributions in the area of cooperative localization and tracking. The proposed research will use the same RF UWB signals to tomographically map the shadowing environment in an area. We outline the path loss and image reconstruction models to be simulated, as well as proposed experiments to obtain real data.
