STaC alumna (2011), Archel Bernard, was featured this month by the New York Times Fashion & Style section for the work that she is doing in Monrovia, Liberia. She started a clothing line and boutique in 2013 called Mango Rags, and then the Ebola outbreak occurred. She left Liberia, but after returning, her new company, The Bombchel Factory, is becoming a place that fosters a supportive new community for Ebola survivors and edgy fashion that challenges convention. Read “Stitching Together Lives and Fashion in Liberia”.
