Jeffrey Young investigates how to break beyond current limitations in computing as a research scientist for the School of Computer Science in the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Young is also affiliated with the Center for Experimental Research in Computer Systems (CERCS) and the HPC Garage. Young researches the design and implementation of high-performance networks and memory technologies for use with accelerators and cluster systems.
Young holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Clemson University and a master’s and doctorate degrees in electrical and computer engineering from Georgia Tech. He recently finished working as a research scientist on the Keeneland supercomputing project and is currently working on topics related to accelerator usage and power monitoring and modeling for high performance clusters.
