Jarek Rossignac is professor for the School of Interactive Computing in the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Rossignac’s research focuses on efficient representations, design, and processing of geometric structures and animations. He is a former director of the GVU Center, editor-in-chief of Graphical Models, and previously managed the graphics program at IBM Research. Rossignac is the current chair of the Solid Modeling Association.

He holds 24 patents, has published approximately 160 papers, received 23 awards for his research, and chaired 20 conferences and six program committees. Rossignac is a fellow of Eurographics and the 2014 Bezier Prize recipient for his work on compression, processing, and rendering of solid models. He earned a bachelor’s degree from France’s National School of Electricity and Mechanics, a master’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Nancy, and earned a doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of Rochester.
