There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. A recipient of Google’s Anita Borg Memorial Fellowship in 2012, Neha Kumar is an assistant professor for the School of Interactive Computing in the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology, with a joint appointment in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs. Kumar’s research lies in the intersection of global development and human-centered computing. Before coming to Georgia Tech, she completed postdoctoral appointments at the University of Washington's Computer Science and Engineering department and at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School of Communication, where she was their Digital Diversity Postdoctoral Scholar. She completed her doctorate at the School of Information at University of California, Berkeley and was advised by Prof. Tapan Parikh. She holds two master’s degrees from Stanford University, one in computer science and the other in learning, design and technology.
