Professor Pamela Peralta-Yahya was selected as a 2016 Kavli Fellow by the National Academy of Sciences.  She will be attending the 2016 German-American Frontiers of Science Symposium to be held in March 2016 in Potsdam, Germany, which is organized in collaboration with the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.  The Kavli Frontiers of Science Symposium is a gathering of the best researchers, from the natural sciences to engineering, to discuss advances at the forefront of their fields through one-on-one discussion and networking with a variety of disciplines, to foster connections and collaborations.

The premiere activity of the National Academy of Sciences for distinguished young scientists, the Kavli Symposium is an invitation only event.  Kavli Fellows are selected from recipients of prestigious fellowships, awards, and other honors, or are nominated by members of the National Academy of Sciences or previous fellows.  Over 5,000 celebrated young scientists have attended Kavli Symposia since its inception in 1989.

Congratulations to Prof. Peralta-Yahya on this remarkable honor.
