The Hill District: Landscape Improvements Through July

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. This is part two of a phased set of projects. Brick pavers are likely be added to Cherry Street to continue aesthetic cohesiveness of the historic hill area. This addition is scheduled after library construction is complete, (late 2017).

  • Several additional benches
  • Updated shrubbery and vegetation
  • Brick pavers on Cherry Street will be added after library construction
  • Sitting/study area with tables and chairs for at least 28 people will be available behind Corliss pump

 

CONSTRUCTION DETAILS:

  • Start Date: March 1, 2016

Normal Working Hours: 7am-5pm. Weekend work will only be necessary in there are major rain delays.

  • Anticipated End Date: July 31, 2016

 

Campus Detours or Interruptions:

Vehicular access will be allowed during construction. However, there will be road closings for through traffic. The map included here indicates locations of construction, road closings, pedestrian access, bus stops and ADA accessible entrances.
