More than 70 students are expressing their support for Georgia Tech at the Capitol today. Instead of spending the morning on campus, the students will meet with lawmakers to learn how the goings-on at the gold dome affect them.
They are participating in the annual Georgia Tech Student Day at the Capitol, which is sponsored by the Student Government Association and the Office of Government and Community Relations. The goal is to raise awareness of Georgia Tech and the Institute’s impact on the state.
During Monday’s event, Georgia Tech alumni Rep. Bert Reeves and Sen. P.K. Martin will host resolutions in the House and Senate chambers to honor Georgia Tech’s student leaders.
