The European Union Center of Excellence at Georgia Tech is honored to welcome Klaus Scharioth, ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United States of America, and Pierre Vimont, ambassador of The French Republic to the United States of America, to Georgia Tech for a discussion of the state of the EU and EU-US relations as we enter a new decade.

During this stimulating and informative session, the ambassadors will share their views on the implications of the Lisbon Treaty for the European Union and the transatlantic relationship. The talk will be moderated by Dr. Vicki Birchfield, director of the EU Center of Excellence, and will be followed by a question and answer session with the audience.
