There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Governor Sonny Perdue will outline the state's progress in 2009 and plans for 2010 in his annual State of State Address before a joint session of the Georgia House and Senate on Wednesday, January 13, at 11AM.
During the address, Governor Perdue is expected to detail much of the budget proposal that he will release to the General Assembly this week and present in detail during next week's budget hearings. He will also highlight some of the accomplishments of the state during the previous year and provide a vision for the final year of his second and last term.
The State of the State address is held in the House Chamber of the State Capitol. Tickets may be available through your representative, and the address will be televised and webcast by Georgia Public Broadcasting.
