Full Summary: Paris Climate Summit Panel
On December 12, 2015, 195 nations reached a landmark agreement which, for the first time, united nearly every country towards one goal: lowering greenhouse gas emissions to create a more sustainable tomorrow. The United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris represents a major step in addressing climate change, but what are the prospects that the process it has set in train will deliver? What are the major economic and political implications of the agreement? What more needs to be done?

If you have asked these questions or are just seeking a better understanding for what this agreement means, then please join our distinguished guest His Excellency Denis Barbet, Consul General of France, and faculty from the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, the School of Public Policy, the School of Economics, and the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at “The Paris Climate Summit: Paving the Way for a Sustainable Tomorrow” - a panel discussion hosted by the Center for European and Transatlantic Studies and the Center for International Strategy, Technology, and Policy.

When: January 20, 4:00 – 6:00pm

Where: Clough Commons, Room 144

No RSVP is necessary. Please contact Chris McDermott at chris.mcdermott@gatech.edu for additional information
