Dilkina to Help Lead $10M Conservation Planning Initiative

Professor Bistra Dilkina (CSE) will help lead a $10-million reasearch endeavor that aims to apply computational techniques to support sustainable development in harmony with environmental, economic and societal factors. "CompSustNet" -- spearheaded by Cornell University (Dilkina's alma mater) -- will act as an international research and education network and is funded by the National Science Foundation. Dilkina will serve on the Executive Council, where Georgia Tech sits alongside 11 other leading institutions nationwide.
