There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The David J. Sencer CDC Museum is hosting an exciting new exhibit, Places & Spaces: Mapping Science, from January 25 –June 17, 2016 (see http://www.cdc.gov/museum/exhibits/mappingscience.htm). As part of the launch of the exhibit, the CDC Office of Public Health Scientific Services and Thomson Reuters are hosting several kickoff events open to CDC staff and the general public:
· Inaugural Lecture: Data Visualizations - Drawing Actionable Insights from Data, Thursday, February 4, 2016, 5pm-6pm
· Scientific Symposium: Seeing for Action - Using Maps and Graphs to Protect the Public’s Health, Friday, February 5, 2016, 1:30pm-4:30pm
Both events will be held on the CDC headquarters campus in Auditorium A, CDC Tom Harkin Global Communications Center (Building 19) 1600 Clifton Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30329-4027.
