In advance of the annual spring Faculty-Staff Honors Luncheon, the Faculty Honors Committee seeks nominations for the recognition of Georgia Tech faculty in seven categories. Deadline for nominations is January 29.
At a minimum, the committee requests a résumé and letters of recommendation sent with a nomination letter. Each award provides a stipend, varying from $2,000 to $20,000. All current faculty members who have not received the same award in the past 10 years are eligible. Nominations must be submitted electronically in PDF format.
Nominations for candidates of the two teaching awards should also include letters of recommendation from present and past graduate and undergraduate students, as well as evidence of teaching effectiveness. Nominations for candidates of the Distinguished Professor Award should also include letters of recommendation highlighting impact on students and service to Georgia Tech, as well as from colleagues and peers, particularly from those outside of Georgia Tech; documentation of scholarship and impact of research; and no more than 15 letters of recommendation.
