There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Students that wish to participate in the The Georgia Tech Research and Innovation Conference (GTRIC) should submit abstracts by December 15. Please visit www.gtric.gatech.edu for additional information.
Showcasing Georgia Tech's premier graduate student research through posters and other displays of innovation, GTRIC also provides funding for student award winners. Multiple awards will be available this year, in large part through sponsorship from the Office of the Provost and the Georgia Tech Edison Fund.
Poster Session Awards
1) Twenty travel grants of up to $2,000 each for travel to professional meetings to make a presentation. These are open to MS and PhD students.
2) Three $5,000/year fellowships awarded for up to 2 years to PhD students only.
Innovation Session Award
1) One $15,000 Georgia Tech Edison Prize to be invested in a company formed by the winning competitor in the innovation component of the symposium.
The conference will occur Monday, February 8th 2010 between 5pm and 7pm at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. A reception and awards ceremony from 7pm to 8pm in the atrium of the Global Learning Center.
