The UPS Foundation Awards Georgia Intern-Fellowships for Teachers (GIFT) $25,000 Grant

The Georgia Intern-Fellowships for Teachers (GIFT), a program of Georgia Tech’s Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) received a $25,000 grant from The UPS Foundation, which drives global corporate citizenship and philanthropic programs for UPS (NYSE:UPS).

The grant will be used to support Georgia Tech laboratory research summer internships for teachers and high school students from populations under represented in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

“Because of the generosity of The UPS Foundation and UPS, GIFT continues to support systemic changes that lead to improved STEM performance for Georgia’ K-12 students. We are grateful to be able to unite Georgia Tech with educators and students throughout the state of Georgia,” said Dr. Lizanne DeStefano, Executive Director of CEISMC.
