There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The ‘Stimulierte Emissionen klingen’ is a semi-finalist for the 2016 Margaret Guthman Musical Instrument Competition. The contest, hosted by the Georgia Institute of Technology, showcases the best new ideas in design, engineering and musicianship. The ‘Stimulierte Emissionen klingen’ is a musical instrument based on a frame that holds 16 lasers targeted to 16 photoresistors, creating a two dimensional grid of laser beams.
