Alumni from the School of Literature, Media, and Communication (LMC) gathered at the Stephen C. Hall Building on November 19 for “Personal Connections in a Digital Age,” an event celebrating the school’s professional representation in Atlanta and across the United States.

The event featured alumni who presented in person and via electronic media about their experiences in LMC and how the School connected them to their current jobs. The lineup of speakers included Lauren Ayzenshtok, John Holleman, Susan Robinson, Daniel Vollaro, and Robin Wharton.

Attendees also celebrated the 20th anniversary of the graduation of the first cohort of master’s students in the Information Design and Technology program, which changed its name to Digital Media in 2006. Former Assistant Director of Graduate Studies in Digital Media Alison Nichols and Andrew Gan, both of whom were in the cohort, were on hand to take part in a champagne toast.

The event was organized by Krystina Madej, visiting assistant professor in the Ivan Allen College, and Jocelyn Thomas, assistant to the LMC Chair.
