Georgia Tech graduate students Harjot Grewal and Jon Peterson will compete in the National Collegiate Golf Championship November 6-8. The pair are one of 53 teams representing 50 schools and 23 states at the Silverstone Golf Club in Las Vegas.
Georgia Tech is a member of the Play Golf America University program, sponsored by the PGA of America. The program engages undergraduates and graduate students to participate in the game of golf through PGA Professional instruction. Georgia Tech is one of 16 Play Golf America University schools—with 32 players—participating
The championship is a Collegiate Golf Alliance initiative, endorsed by the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association. For 2009, more than 400 participants out of 5,000 qualified for the National Championship.
