There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. While there are many ways to present research formally and thoroughly at Tech, this event highlights accessibility and broad appeal: a showcase of big ideas or fascinating details to be pursued by the audience, perhaps on the spot. To that end, the presentations are short (less than 7 minutes each) and the atmosphere is informal. This style, along with the open space and close-by cafe, should give the evening a looser feel and provide chances for the audience and presenters to interact during & after the event.
