JAMES MADISON GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP SUPPORTS PURSUIT OF MASTERS DEGREE FOR THOSE WISHING TO TEACH HISTORY, GOVERNMENT OR POLITICAL SCIENCE

 

The James Madison Graduate Fellowship offers $24K ($12K per year) to individuals desiring to become outstanding teaching of the American Constitution at the secondary level (secondary in Georgia = grades 6 – 12).  The fellowship supports the pursuit of a Master of Arts (MA) degree in American history, political science or government; Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) with a concentration in American Constitutional history (in a history department) or American government, political institutions or political theory (in a political science department); Master of Education (M.E.d) or the Master of Arts or Master of Science in Education with a concentration in American history or American government, political institutions, and political theory.  The degree program may be at any accredited institution of higher education in the U.S. Applicants compete against other applicants from their state, and at least one award per state is offered.   Applicants must be U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals.
