Summaries

Summary Sentence: Metro Atlanta Energy Series, a monthly series presented by the Strategic Energy Institute and the Metro Atlanta Chamber

Full Summary: No summary paragraph submitted.

Natural gas is gaining a growing share of the global energy spectrum. As a low-cost, low carbon energy source, natural gas is replacing coal in the power sector and is becoming the fuel of choice for other industrial sectors, including exports, transportation, and chemicals.  Widespread conversion to natural gas will require considerable investment, expansion of infrastructure, and long-term environmental considerations. This session will explore many of the logistical, economic, and engineering challenges of natural gas conversion and discuss national and regional strategies for deployment.

Speaker:
Hank Linginfelter, Executive Vice President, AGL Resources
