There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

As part of the newly funded National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure (NNCI), IEN’s Southeastern Nanotechnology Infrastructure Corridor (SENIC) site proposed to develop a Nano-Ambassadors program of outreach volunteers. We will develop and implement a training program for undergraduates, graduate students, and others to assist in SENIC’s outreach efforts. Besides training grad students and post docs affiliated with SENIC, we will seek volunteers from student organizations on campus. These Nano-Ambassadors will be trained in effective STEM communication (NISE Net Communication materials) to use education activities developed by NNIN and other national groups. The first training will occur on November 3. If interested in attending later training sessions please contact nancy.healy@ien.gatech.edu or joyce.allen@ien.gatech.edu
