Join Enterprise Community Partners for a conversation on the role of design in city-building and community development from national experts and local decision makers.

MAURICE COX, Planning and Development Director for the City of Detroit, will speak to his long career working between the worlds of design and city government. Throughout his career Cox has been critically engaged in these questions:

  • How can we encourage civic leadership from architecture and design?
  • How can local governments fully assume their responsibility for giving the city form?
  • And how can Atlanta take advantage of the opportunity to create a more vibrant, equitable city through design?

Featuring an introduction by TIM KEANE, Commissioner for Planning and Community Development for the City of Atlanta

Cocktails and refreshments will be served at 5 pm.
