Jon Sanford, director of Georgia Tech's Center for Assistive Technology and Environmental Access, gave an invited talk on The Physical Environment of Home Healthcare in Washington, DC on October 2. The talk, sponsored by the National Research Council, was hosted by the National Academy of Sciences and was part of a workshop called "The Role of Human Factors in Home Healthcare." The National Academy Press plans to publish a book based on the workshop, which will include a chapter by Sanford on Universal Design and Healthy Aging.
