Update (9:30 a.m.): James (Jimmy) Hubert was located Monday morning and has been transported to the hospital for medical care. 

Hubert was found by a friend who had continued the search in the early hours of the morning.

“Thanks go to the students for not giving up on their friend,” said Rob Connolly, chief of the Georgia Tech Police Department (GTPD), who was among those that responded to the scene. 

From Sunday, Oct. 18:

The Georgia Tech Police Department (GTPD) is working with the Atlanta Police Department (APD) to locate a missing Georgia Tech student. James (Jimmy) Hubert, an aerospace engineering student, was last seen at 11 p.m., Friday, Oct. 16, in the vicinity of the Foundry at Puritan Mill located at 916 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd.

APD is leading the investigation. GTPD is working with the Greek community at Georgia Tech to canvas the area where Hubert was last seen and to distribute flyers. The Georgia Tech Counseling Center is also aware of the situation and available to provide support as needed or requested by calling 404-894-2575.
