Full Summary:

A car chase that began off campus ended with a car hitting the O'Keefe Building and one fatality early Thursday.

An attempted traffic stop off campus led to a car chase that ended with one fatality near the O’Keefe Building early Thursday.

According to initial reports, the Georgia State Patrol (GSP) attempted to stop a vehicle early this morning. The driver fled and ultimately ended up on campus, crashing into the bollards and a tree at the O'Keefe Building. The vehicle caught fire and upon arriving on the scene, a Georgia Tech police officer found the driver deceased. At this time, the driver is not believed to have any connection to Georgia Tech.

Officers from the Georgia Tech Police Department, Atlanta Police Department, Atlanta Homicide Unit, and GSP were on scene early this morning.
