The Staff Council will host its second town hall of 2015 on Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 11 a.m. to noon in Room 152 of Clough Commons.
The event will provide updates on the University System of Georgia Staff Council, Georgia Tech Staff Council committees, this year's priorities, and the upcoming election process. All staff are invited to attend and take the opportunity to ask questions about the Council's work.
The town hall will also use polling technology during the event to give attendees an additional way to provide feedback.
After a successful year with its first group of elected representatives, some members of the Staff Council will soon rotate off to make room for new membership.
The Staff Council is seeking nominations to fill six upcoming vacancies. Staff members can nominate themselves or others to serve a three-year term. Openings exist for staff whose job titles are classified as Administrative and Professional, Skilled Trades, or Information Technology in the Job Classification and Compensation System.
