The student organization Engineers for a Sustainable World welcomes John Lanier, executive director of the foundation with the goal of advancing industrial ecology.
John Lanier is the Executive Director of the Ray C. Anderson Foundation. Anderson was a 1956 graduate of Georgia Tech with an Industrial Engineering degree. He went on to found Interface, Inc., the world's largest manufacturer of modular carpet and, due to Ray's personal vision, a leader in industrial sustainability.
The Ray C. Anderson Foundation is a grant-making entity in the environmental sustainability space. They have three significant initiatives, and one of them is funding the Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business at the Scheller College of Business at Georgia Tech.
