In collaboration with OIT and the Department of Housing, upgraded wireless internet is now available in North Avenue Apartments. This project increased the quantity of wireless access points and optimized their locations to allow for more reliable and higher speed wireless connections for all residents.
Each apartment now has its own dedicated wireless access point that is wireless 802.11ac-equipped. This allows for the highest signal level and speed possible for all connected devices. With compatible devices, speeds over the wireless network can now exceed 120 Mb/s.
In the course of this project, each living room had two wired data ports installed. These allow for residents to connect their game consoles, smart TVs, internet-connected media players, and other internet-connected devices to our wired network for the greatest speed and reliability.
If you have any questions about this project or if you experience and issues with these or other services, please send us an email or submit a help request on our website.
