Summaries

Summary Sentence: A weekly gathering of the IPaT community to brainstorm about research, and stay informed about the work that everyone is doing.

Full Summary: No summary paragraph submitted.

The number of devices that intersect with our everyday life is proliferating rapidly! We have seen a tremendous increase in the number of solutions and technologies available for the ‘Connected Home’ and beyond. As these devices and technologies grow, large amounts of data (Big Data!) are being generated. What does this mean for the future of the resident and other stakeholders?

At this Think Tank, Brian Jones, Director of Georgia Tech's Aware Home, will lead a discussion on the Institute's Connected Living initiative and cover the following:

  • The various stakeholders in this domain
  • Considerations of security and privacy with all this data
  • How data can better inform stakeholder decisions
  • Who should we be engaging with in industry and campus wide?

The Thursday Think Tank is a weekly gathering of the IPaT community to brainstorm about research, and stay informed about the work that everyone is doing. Come interact with colleagues and engage on topics of shared interest.
