There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Join NCTSPM for our second Transportation Speaker Series event of the fall semester. Dr. Jidong Yang, assistant professor in Civil and Construction Engineering at Kennesaw State University, will be the guest speaker. Yang's topic will be "Understanding the Varying Performance of Vehicle Detectors for Traffic Signal Control".
A professional engineer with extensive research and industry experience, Yang has a special interest in interdisciplinary work. His research has focused on areas including pavement management and performance modelling, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), traffic operations and simulations, and highway safety. He has previously worked as program manager for the City of Chattanooga, Tennessee's ITS program.
