FULBRIGHT ENGLISH TEACHING ASSISTANT (ETA) GRANT AND OTHER PRESTIGIOUS FELLOWSHIPS AND AWARDS

Undergraduates who will complete their degree(s) by August of 2015 or alumni  interested in teaching and living abroad should apply for the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) programs.    The English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Programs place Fulbrighters in classrooms abroad to provide assistance to the local English teachers. ETA’s help teach English language while serving as cultural ambassadors for the U.S. The age and academic level of the students varies by country, ranging from kindergarten to university level. Applicants for English Teaching Assistant Programs can apply to only one country.  Language proficiency requirements vary.  For more information about ETA, click here.

Eligibility and ineligibility requirements

Campus deadline for preliminary applications is August 31, 2015.

By applying through Tech, students are assured assistance in creating and refining their applications, participation in mock interviews, and other support.  Students considering applying for a fellowship or award should apply through the Georgia Teach Office of Fellowships instead of applying individually.

Contact Kathryn Meehan, Prestigious Fellowships Advisor and Susan Belmonte, Pre-Teaching Advisor, about the preliminary application and for more information about applying.

The Fulbright application deadline for the ETA 2016 – 2017 programs is October 13, 2015 5:00 p.m. EST

The Georgia Tech Fellowships Office helps students identify and apply for nationally competitive awards. These awards can provide funding assistance for undergraduate and graduate study in the U.S. and abroad. The application process itself is also an exciting opportunity to prepare for graduate school, career goals, and more.
