The Health Education Assessment Leadership (H.E.A.L.) Coalition in conjunction with City of Refuge, Emory University, Georgia Tech and Grady Health Systems will unveil the architectural designs for the new HEALing Center Community Clinic on Friday December 5, 2008, at City of Refuge in West Atlanta.
This new clinic will address the needs of the underserved community and offer a Recuperative Program for homeless women with or without children. In addition, the health clinic will provide medical, dental, mental health, health education, social and legal services to all patients (men, women, and children).
The HEALing Center Community Clinic will be built within the City of Refuge Community Service Center Complex. The mission of this organization is to provide a point of entry, a pool of resources and a place of training that will enable those living in impoverished areas a means to become economically self sufficient while transforming and restoring their individual lives and family units.
Georgia Tech architecture students designed several concepts for the new HEALing Center Community Clinic which they will present at the preview event.
