Annual Shrimp BoilThe Renewable Bioproducts Institute will hold its annual shrimp boil Aug. 21 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the cafeteria of the Paper Tricentennial Building. The event is open to all Paper Science Engineering students and faculty, as well as RBI staff.
This is the second year the Institute has hosted the event, a gathering Executive Director Norman Marsolan said is a rare opportunity to bring together the entire RBI family.
“There aren’t many opportunities for the students, faculty and staff to mingle together in this type of atmosphere,” he said. “This gives everyone an opportunity - before schedules get impossibly hectic - to spend a little time with one another. It’s also a great opportunity to welcome our new PSE students – 10 this year – to RBI.”
In addition to the food, two PSE students will be entered to win an iPad Mini.
Those planning to attend must RSVP by Aug. 12. Reservations can be made with Mary Williams at the reception desk in the Paper Tricentennial Building or by contacting her at mary.williams@rbi.gatech.edu or 404.894.5700.
Name badges must be worn for entry and can be picked up the reception desk the day of the event.
