This session is a "crash course" on the US and Georgia Tech. During the first half of the session, International Student and Scholar Services will provide information on topics of interest to new students. Topics covered include:

  • obtaining a Georgia state driver's license
  • getting around on Atlanta public transportation
  • applying for a Social Security card
  • opening bank accounts
  • getting a cell phone

The second half of the session will be hosted by the Student Alumni Association (SSA).  Members of SAA will present on the history of Georgia Tech and the university's traditions.
