Kyunghoon Lee, a former AE doctoral student of Dr. Dimitri Mavris, has accepted a position as assistant professor of aerospace engineering at South Korea's Pusan National University.
A 2010 AE graduate, Lee spent the last few years building on his doctoral studies.
"After graduation, I stayed at ASDL [Aerospace Systems Design Lab ] as a postdoctoral fellow for awhile and moved to Singapore for a research scientist job at International Design Center jointly established by Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and MIT, " he writes.
"For three years, I worked on applications of certified reduced basis methods with Professors K Willcox and AT Patera at MIT. At PNU, I’ll be researching on in the areas of design computation under uncertainty."
Lee began his new teaching assignment in March of 2014.
