Ms. Gi-Yun Chung, a recent graduate student of Prof. JVR Prasad, was awarded the Controls, Diagnostics & Instrumentation Committee Best Paper Award at ASME Turbo 2013. Ms. Chung's paper entitled "Real time analytical linearization of turbofan engine model" is co-authored with Prof. JVR Prasad from the Georgia Tech School of AE; Manuj Dhingra of Pratt & Whitney and Richard Meisner, of Pratt & Whitney.

The ASME Turbo Expo 2013 was held in June 2013 in San Antonio, TX. It is the one global event for all turbomachinery professionals providing an opportunity to recognize outstanding technical papers, to acknowledge the author's contributions to the gas turbine industry, and to support and maintain the high quality of papers presented by each committee.
